Getting started with Point of Sale
What the Randvu register does, what you need to switch it on, and where everything lives in the sidebar.

Point of Sale (POS) turns Randvu into a working checkout. Ring up services and retail products at the counter, take card or cash, hand out receipts, and settle the till at the end of the day — all tied to the same clients, services, and staff you already manage.
What you can do with POS
- Ring up a sale — build a cart from services and products, apply discounts, add tips, and assign each line to a staff member.
- Take payment — card (through a Stripe card reader), cash, or a split of both.
- Finish a booking — jump straight from a booking to the register with the cart pre-filled.
- Run the cash drawer — open a shift with a starting float, record cash in and out, and count down at close.
- Look back — every sale lands in Transactions, where you can re-send receipts, refund, or void.
- Get paid — card takings are settled to your bank through Payouts.
Where it lives
POS has its own Point of Sale section in the sidebar:
- POS (
/pos) — the register. - Transactions (
/pos/transactions) — sale history, refunds, and voids. - Cash Shifts (
/pos/cash-shifts) — open/close the drawer and reconcile cash. - Payouts (under Settings → Payouts) — your Stripe balance, payout schedule, and card-reader pairing.
What you need before you can take card payments
Card payments and the cash drawer are currently available in Randvu's global (USD) market. If your salon runs in a region with a local payment rail, the register still works for cash and you'll see the relevant options for your market.
To take in-person card payments, you also need a paired Stripe card reader and card-present enabled on your Stripe account — see Take card payments with a reader.
Who can use it
POS respects staff permissions, so you can let a front-desk cashier ring sales without handing them refund or bank access:
- POS access — view the register and sales history, and take payments.
- Refunds, discounts, cash drawer, and card readers are separate permissions you grant on top.
- Payouts is its own permission for viewing your balance and changing the payout schedule.
See Staff roles and permissions for how to assign these.
Where to go next
- Ring up a sale — the day-to-day register flow.
- Cash shifts and drawer reconciliation — running the till.
- Get paid with payouts — connecting Stripe and getting money to your bank.
