Your account and security

The Profile & security section under Settings — email, password, time format, and what's not yet shipped (2FA, sessions).

Last updated 2026-05-11

Open Settings and look for the Profile & security section near the top of the hub. It's the only place in the app that controls your own account (as opposed to the salon itself). The section is intentionally small — five rows in a single column.

The five rows

Email

Shows your account email and a Verified badge if the address has been confirmed. The email is the one Randvu uses to invite you, send password resets through WorkOS, and address ownership correspondence — keep it current.

There's no inline change email control here today. To switch the email on your account, contact support.

Password

Reads "Managed externally" — meaning password handling is delegated to WorkOS, the identity provider Randvu uses. To change your password:

  1. Sign out.
  2. On the sign-in screen, use Forgot password?
  3. WorkOS sends you a reset link to the email on file.

This is the same mechanism teammates use when they first accept their invite.

Two-factor authentication

Shown with a Coming soon chip — the row is a placeholder. There's no 2FA option yet; account security currently leans on the WorkOS provider.

Active sessions

Also Coming soon — when this ships, it will list devices and browsers signed in to your account so you can revoke them.

Time format

The one row in this section that's actually controllable today. A toggle between:

  • 12-hour (e.g. 3:30 PM)
  • 24-hour (e.g. 15:30)

Your choice affects the appointment times shown across the calendar, schedule, booking detail panels, and reports. It's a UI preference only — booking data is stored in UTC and rendered in the salon's time zone.

What's not on this page

A few things you might be looking for that live elsewhere:

  • Notification channels (push, email per event) — Settings → Notifications (the Preferences tab) or the standalone /notifications page.
  • Display name (the name shown to clients on the public storefront) — set per-staff on the Edit Staff form, not on the Profile section.
  • Theme (light / dark / daylight / vibrant) — the theme switcher at the bottom of the sidebar.
  • Language — the locale switcher next to the theme switcher.
  • Permissions (what you can edit in the app) — granted by the salon Owner via the Permissions section on the Edit Staff form.
