Create your first booking

The two ways to add a booking — quick from the calendar and a full guided wizard — and when to use each.

There are two ways to put an appointment on the calendar in Randvu. Both produce the same result; the difference is how much information you collect up front.

Quick booking from the calendar

Use this when someone walks in or calls and you just want to lock the slot.

  1. Open Schedule

    Open Schedule in the sidebar. The Schedule view is the day / staff grid; the Bookings page is a list for filtering and reporting.

  2. Click an empty cell on the grid

    A QuickCreate popover opens on that timeslot.

  3. Pick a service and a staff member

    Randvu shows only services that staff member is qualified for. The slot is auto-sized based on the service duration.

  4. Save

    The booking appears immediately. You can attach a client later from the booking detail.

Full wizard — Book for customer

Use this when you want the booking attached to a client record so visit history and reminders work.

  1. Click Book for customer

    From the Schedule view, click Book for customer at the top of the page. The wizard opens.

  2. Customer

    Search by name, phone, or email. If they're new, fill in at least a name plus a phone or email — the wizard creates the client record for you.

  3. Services

    Add one or more services. Total time is calculated automatically.

  4. Staff

    Pick a staff member who can perform the chosen services.

  5. Time

    Pick a date and time slot. Only slots where the staff member is actually free are offered.

  6. Confirm

    Review the summary. The confirm screen also tells you which channels the booking confirmation will go on — Randvu picks them automatically: SMS if the client has a phone number, Email if they have an email. There's no per-booking channel picker.

Editing a booking

Click any booking on the calendar to open the detail panel. From there you can:

  • Drag the booking to a new time or staff member (with Cmd / Ctrl + Z to undo the reschedule).
  • Resize the bottom edge to extend or shorten it.
  • Mark as checked-in, complete, or no-show — and revert each of those.
  • Cancel the booking.

To change which services are on a booking, open the booking and use Reschedule — the same five-step wizard reopens with the existing values, so you can add or swap services and pick a new time.

Changes save immediately. A full change history per booking isn't shipped yet — the in-app copy currently says "Change history is coming soon."
