Sidebar personalisation

A handful of personal-preference controls live on the sidebar itself, not in Settings. They're easy to miss because they're small icon buttons. This article covers what each does.

Location switcher (top of sidebar)

A dashed-border pill at the very top of the sidebar showing the currently-active location's name. Tap it to open a dropdown with:

• All your locations — pick one to switch the whole app's context to it. Most pages (Schedule, Clients, Services, Reports) re-filter to that location.
• Manage locations — at the bottom of the dropdown, jumps to /salon where you can add or edit locations.

When the sidebar is collapsed, the switcher shrinks to a single building icon — same dropdown, just no name visible.

Theme switcher (bottom of sidebar)

The sun / moon icon at the bottom of the sidebar opens a theme picker with four options:

• Light — the default daytime theme.
• Dark — neutral dark theme for low-light environments.
• Daylight — a warmer high-contrast variant.
• Vibrant — a saturated alternate palette.

Pick one and it persists per user. The icon in the sidebar updates to match (sun, moon, sunrise, sparkles).

Locale switcher (bottom of sidebar)

The globe-and-languages icon opens the language picker. Available languages today:

• English (en)
• Türkçe (tr)
• Español (es)
• Português (pt)
• Deutsch (de)
• Français (fr)

Selecting a language reloads the current page in that locale and saves your choice in a cookie. The route stays the same — only the labels and UI text change.

Sidebar collapse

The chevron button next to the location switcher collapses the entire sidebar from a 256-pixel wide labelled column to a 64-pixel icon-only column. Hover icons to see their names; click any icon to navigate as usual.

The preference is saved to local storage — collapsed once stays collapsed.

What's not in the sidebar

• Profile / account email / password — those live under Settings → Profile & security.
• Notification preferences (per-event channel toggles) — under Settings → Notifications (the Preferences tab).
• Display name / time zone — the time format toggle (12h vs. 24h) is in the Profile & security section; display name is set per-staff on the Edit Staff form.
