Sell gift cards and packages

You sell gift cards and packages in two places: at the register, and on your public storefront. Packages need a template first — that's the package composer.

Build a package in the composer

From Gift cards & packages → Packages, click New package (/pos/prepaid/packages/new). The composer has three panels and a live preview:

1. Basics

   Name the package (for example, "Blow-Dry Bundle"), set how long it's valid — presets 90d, 180d, 365d, or Never — and add an optional description for your public packages page. Turn on Sell online to show it on your storefront.

2. Services included

   Add one or more services with a quantity each. Line totals come from your current service prices, and together they make the package's full value.

3. Price

   Set the package price yourself or tap a discount tier — −5%, −10%, −15%, −20%. The preview shows what the client saves and what each session earns you. 10–15% off is typical for multi-session bundles.

Finish with Create & activate, or Save draft to keep it inactive. You can Deactivate a package later without touching sessions already sold.

Sell at the register

Open the register (POS in the sidebar). In the item picker, next to Services and Products, there's a Gift cards tab:

• Gift card — tap a quick amount ($25, $50, $100) or type a custom one, optionally add the recipient's name and email, then Add to sale. The card is digital: when the sale completes, the recipient gets an email with the code and a balance link.
• Packages — every active package shows as a button with its price and savings. Tap to add it to the cart.

The cart line reads "Gift card •• 1234" with the last four characters of the code. Gift card and package lines are never taxed at sale — tax applies when the sessions or balance are redeemed.

Sell online

Your storefront gets two public pages automatically: Gift cards and Packages (in the storefront navigation next to Services and Memberships). Gift cards are always giftable with a recipient email; packages are personal and only appear online for templates with Sell online turned on.

Online sales are charged through your connected Stripe account — if Stripe isn't set up, the public pages show as unavailable. See Gift cards and packages online for the buyer's side.
